Lita Rossana Ford was born in Britain and is a British American guitarist, vocalist and music writer. Lita Ford played as The lead guitarist in The All-Girl Hard Rock Group, The Runaways. The group was unable to achieve major success in the United States but earned huge recognition in other countries, particularly Japan. When the band broke up at the end of 1979 Ford began a profitable solo career in the field of metal. After studying voice she released her solo debut album "Out for Blood", followed by "Dancin' at the Edge". The albums of Ford were not particularly popular, and she stayed away for several years. The singer returned with her hit album 'Lita', which was released in 1988. The track "Kiss My Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were big hits. She stayed out of the industry for a couple of years following her brief commercial success. In 1995 she released "Black," followed by 15 years later 'Wicked Wonderland. Her most recent album, Time Capsule was released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
