When she was six, the family relocated into Point Pleasant New Jersey. Red Bank Catholic High School is where she received her formal education in New Jersey. She was a graduate of Catholic University in New Jersey with a Bachelor's Degree. In addition, she was a player on the violin since the age 4, and was also known by the name of Violin Lady. Her performances led to being called Violin Girl. She also worked as a violin teacher for the youngsters in the area. At the age of 19, she appeared on Free 1976 in American Idol in the 6th season.
